Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jonathan Boyd
Dr. Jonathan Boyd is an Associate Professor at ISM University of Management and Economics. He holds a PhD in International Relations from the University of St Andrews and has held academic positions in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Lithuania.
His current research focuses on corporate sustainability, political economy, sovereignty, and national resilience. He is particularly interested in the changing role of business and the tension between commercial objectives and wider societal and strategic priorities.
Alongside his academic work, Jonathan has extensive professional experience in corporate sustainability, strategy, and ESG. He has worked with European and multinational organisations across the energy, media, finance, and logistics sectors, advising on sustainability strategy, disclosure, governance, risk, and institutional resilience. His professional experience also includes work with foreign missions on trade and energy security.
Jonathan teaches corporate sustainability and related subjects at undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels. His teaching draws directly on his professional practice and his broader academic background.
