Associate Professor Dr. Mariana Sueldo was born in Argentina, where she also received part of her education. At the Higher Institute of Arts and Music Education in Cordoba, she earned a diploma with habilitation as a music teacher and choir conductor. Later, she obtained Bachelor’s degrees in English Philology and Public Translation (written and simultaneous and consecutive oral translation) from the National University of Cordoba. In 1995, Mariana Sueldo moved to Lithuania. She studied at the Faculty of Communication at Vilnius University, where she earned a Master’s degree in International Communication. Mariana defended her doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Vilnius University.
Since 2005, she has been teaching at ISM University of Management and Economics, conducting training for business executives, and consulting business and other organizations on strategic communication management, executive communication competencies, and internal communication issues. From 2020 to 2022, she pursued further qualifications and conducted research under a postdoctoral fellowship project (project No.: 09.3.3-LMT-K-712).
Throughout her career, Mariana has translated several scientific publications and the book „Lithuanians of Berisso” about Lithuanians living in Argentina. She is regularly invited to provide translation services at official national and EU events, conferences, and more.
Mariana Sueldo actively participates in community activities, such as EU youth projects in the areas of socialization, civic education, volunteerism, and leadership. She coordinates and leads seminars and international summer camps for youth, as well as EU-funded exchange programs in Lithuania and other EU countries.
