National research project
In progress
Project no.: S-PD-24-92
Project funding: Research Council of Lithuania, Postdoctoral Fellowships
Project description:
The research aims to combine gravity modelling and economics of networks and empirically analyse the formation of the export network of Eastern European economies. The analysis builds on a natural experiment of the collapse of a Soviet bloc when a number of Eastern European countries entered the international trade market. The main research questions are: 1) which factors were the most important in the spread of the export network of these economies and 2) how the influence of these factors changed throughout the years.
