October 14-16, Vilnius, Lithuania
The conference is organised under the TEMPUS Fostering Entrepreneurship in Higher Education – FoSentHE project that aims to create an environment in HEI and competence of the faculty for the entrepreneurship education. The conference itself seeks to bring together a critical mass of entrepreneurship researchers to discuss over critical topics in the field and thus contribute to the HEI environment and faculty competence development.

The underlying idea of the project is to stimulate students’ entrepreneurial activity. To this end, the project develops the 5e5 outcome model:
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- e-Learning
- Excellence
- Entrepreneurship centres
- European network
The FoSentHE is funded by the Tempus programme of the European Commission and will last for 3 years: January 2009 – January 2012.
The realisation of the project will be carried out in five phases:
1. Preparatory phase – justification and comprehensive list of variables and dimensions of entrepreneurship will be developed.
2. Analysis phase (“know how”) – entrepreneurial examples pursued by successful companies will be examined and assessed with a view of developing and understanding the impacts of each variable and dimension in different circumstances and their relationships.
3. The synthesis phase (“know why”) – the current situation will be modelled. There will be discussions with industry specialists involved in technology and project implementation with a view of assessing the current meaning of the subjects.
4. Quality control and monitoring (“know what”) – the best students with strongest motivation for high quality achievements will be identified. A methodology based on the application of a structured approach to the use of basic quality tools and recognising which steps of problem solving can be sequentially linked.
5. Sustainability phase (“know who“) – in each phase potential interactions between emerging policy trends used in various entrepreneurial mechanisms and other tools and concepts that have been applied successfully in real life projects will be analysed. On the other hand, sustainability can be also achieved through the established networks, both academic and business, both domestic and international.
Outputs
- New entrepreneurship promotion programme launched and sustained at the level of the whole consortium – international curriculum embracing sustainability entrepreneurship, integrated management systems, sustainable product development, creativity management, innovation management, and other challenging issues. These courses can be provided through the EU academic network (consortium members), thus multiplying the FoSentHE impact. More than 160 students from EU and partner countries (Croatia and Israel) will be involved.
- Internationalisation of curricula by launching new online courses on entrepreneurship – the process of designing detailed content and structure of the study programme, the compilation of core stakeholder groups and networks representing and linking the key entrepreneurship promotion actors.
- External and internal quality control mechanisms established – quality assurance and standardisation of education through publishing three books, organisation of ten workshops and three seminars and site visits; moreover, external and internal quality control mechanisms will be established.
- Operative University Centres of Entrepreneurship in Zagreb and Split, Croatia – market analysis, workshops, and securing technical, administrative and teaching resources for the two centres.
- Dissemination and sustainability of the results of the project – through website, newsletters, leaflets, journals.
