Project funding: Projects funded by the Research Council of Lithuania (RCL), Projects carried out by researchers’ teams

Project description:

Young innovative companies (YIC) are strategically important for economic and social development worldwide and are claimed to be the cornerstone of innovation. However, research on the factors that drive forward or impede the development of YIC and entrepreneurial activities is still limited and contradictory. Therefore, in the course of this research project we aim to conduct multiple research studies and use quantitative and qualitative methods. The studies will also integrate multiple databases and use a multi-level analysis approach: individual level factor (age), organizational level factors (characteristics of YIC), and macro (culture-related) factors. The research studies will contribute to the theoretical explanation of the relationships between YIC characteristics and the outcomes of their activities. It will also facilitate the development of innovation ecosystems and inclusive societies.
