As a passionate Technologist by practice and education, and with more than two decades of hands-on cross-sectoral experience, Dr. Saman Sarbazvatan works on the convergence of Circular Economy, Digital Economy, Sustainable Competitiveness, and Innovation as a senior executive, advisor, professor, and researcher.Working in tandem within academia and the industry to bridge the gap between research and practice, Saman’s work is focused on the applications and implications of enabling technologies in propelling inclusive, impact-oriented, and purpose-driven innovations in business, industrial, and economic models toward SDGs, ESG, CSR, and Circular Economy.Saman’s focus is on leveraging the emerging trends of the Digital Economy, xTech solutions (e.g., AgriTech, FinTech, SpaceTech, ClimateTech, RegTech, HealthTech), and Web3 enablers and Industry 4.0 Technologies (e.g., Blockchain, Cloud, AI, IoT, XR, Digital Twins) toward Social, Economic, and Environmental Prosperity, Impact, and Inclusion via Organizational, Business Model, and Industrial Innovation.In addition to his permanent position, Dr. Saman Sarbazvatan works closely with entrepreneurs, investors, and decision makers at the public and private sectors as an advisor, and he is an external expert at the European Commission, official member of Forbes Business Council, Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, MIT Technology Review Global Panel, and Senior Advisor of Technology and Business Model Innovation at Circular Economy Alliance, Circular Economy Research Center, and Center for Policy and Competitiveness.
