Senior Lecturer Margarita Pilkienė has been with ISM since 2006. During that time she taught classes of organizational psychology at Executive School of ISM and worked as a researcher at ISM Research Department. She serves as programme director of Educational Leadership Master’s program, and is the head of the module of Applied Organizational Psychology in Executive Master of Management programme. Margarita received her Master’s degree in psychology from Vilnius University and studied management at Baltic Doctoral Programme of ISM.The main interests of research of Margarita is leadership in different fields. Firstly, it is balanced leadership in projects. This innovative approach was developed in cooperation with outstanding researchers from BI Norwegian Business School. It continued further into the big international project „A (meta) governance framework for multi-level governance of inter-organizational project networks“, which provided the publications in the top ranking journals and the book. Secondly, Margarita is involved in GLOBE (Globe 2020: A Study of Culture, Trust and Leadership in 143 Countries) as country CCI. Further, in the field of Educational Leadership the focus of research was on Servant Leadership, and careers of teachers and career imprints, as well as silence in organizations.She has disseminated the results of the research at the conferences like EGOS, EURAM, BAM, and others.Margarita has extensive corporate work experience in addition to her academic achievements. She was a marketing director at international corporation, responsible for business development and marketing support. Her work experiences include development of marketing strategy, project management,  customer relationship marketing, special events planning and other. She participated at National Project Leaders Time Steering Comittee.Currently she consults both public and private sector enterprises in the areas of competencies and human potential development.In the field of teaching materials writing, Margarita together with prof. R.Alonderiene received an award from Emerald Publishing for the case „Laura at Panevezys Juozas Balcikonis Gymnasium“.In 2018 Margarita, as a member of a Team, is a recipient of the Researcher‘s Team of the Year Award at ISM, for publications in a high ranking international journals. In 2019 the leader of a team prof. Dr. Ralf Muller, BI Norwegian Business School, and ISM researchers Margarita Pilkienė, assoc. prof. dr. Alfredas Chmieliauskas, prof. dr. Raimonda Alonderienė and assoc. prof. dr. Saulius Simkonis received the IPMA (International Project Management Accociation) Research Award for the Balanced Leadership in Projects research.The Master‘s program „Educational Leadership“, of which Margarita is a director, has received the international AACSB award in 2021 in the project „Innovations that Inspire“.
